While many rugby fans will still be discussing Fiji's performance at the sevens tournament in Hamilton last weekend, I must say that I enjoyed scenes of spectators in the embankment and pavilion.
Fijian supporters stood out like a sea of blue. It was a joy to watch enthusiastic Fijian fans of different cultures including iTaukei, Indians, the kailomas and several other groups which make up a diverse Fiji.
They had so much passion and cheered our gladiators on the rugby paddock.
Meanwhile, some almost had a heart attack watching Fiji escape a defeat to the Samoans.
Aside from Fiji's success, one has to give credit to the Samoans who finally have found confidence and are a force to reckon with. They went on to defeat a powerful English side.
This weekend all eyes are on the Brisbane Global 10s Tournament. All in all, another weekend of rugby fever.Home | Top
