Heavy traffic

DURING my recent visit to Fiji, I have noticed the Suva-Nausori corridor traffic is pathetic.

I have been told by my cousin that people with children have breakfast at 5.30am at Suva foreshore just to avoid traffic.

What I have noticed is roadworks are being done during normal working hours, thus creating more traffic. Could they do this work during the night? Another major cause of traffic is the traffic lights. Could we please have sensored systems to keep traffic flowing? Many times, crossing lights go on but no one is there to cross.

Yellow line is supposed to be no stopping zone, but people don't seem to care.

In front of a certain mall in the Capital City, there's a big sign 'No stopping', but people just stop there anyway. Perhaps the management should keep someone with a camera and take their picture together with a fine of $100 and post it to the offenders' address.
