The adult fare from Balawa to town and vice-versa is 68 cents. If I was to buy a $2 disposable eTransport card, I'll be able to only make two trips with a balance of 64 cents remaining in the card. After 30 days this particular disposable card expires, what happens to the balance of 64 cents? Who is it credited to?
I believe young and energetic Abel Camillo should stand for election and we his relatives believe he will look after his homeland Rotuma. Descendant of a great king of Rotuma, leader throughout his life and a role model, I believe he has helped his people in Rotuma behind the scenes. Please political parties pull this dedicated servant. Like he always says, for a better Fiji and Rotuma. Your people need you son.
So many of my Fijian brothers of Indian descent are writing about rugby 7s daily in the papers. It's a delight to read and it makes me buy my copy for sure. Just wondering why they are not at all writing about soccer in Fiji? I am sure they all love the sport. So what has changed? Let's team up.
A SHARIFF SHAH
I don't understand why the Government doesn't allow a dual system like in other countries where the passengers can use the cards and those who don't have the card or have forgotten it can pay cash. When in Australia I always pay cash, no problem. This is my humble request, please allow both to be operated.
It's sad to learn from the Assistant Health Minister that most health care-related facilities have been shunned, primarily in rural areas. (FT 02/02). I believe what's even more distressing is that it took the ministry 11 years to admit it. Another reason I ardently anticipate the upcoming election. Sad indeed.
I would like to thank Mr Wise for writing such a long and wise letter "My take". Looks like Mr Wise is a highly educated and intelligent voter.
