Sydney 7s starts

The Sydney 7s starts today and a Cup win will take us to the road to the Commonwealth Games in April and more importantly to the World Cup 7s in July this year.

Gareth and the boys are not only fighting against time but fighting to set up the right combinations and attitude and discipline remains the key to success.

We have two fierce and close neighbours in our pool games — New Zealand and Samoa who play physical rugby and it will be a real test for all three Pacific teams to battle it out in the pool stage.

The attitude to play clean rugby with 100 per cent discipline and not get distracted by tactics will allow one of them to become pool winners.

However, I would like to end by saying that our third opponent Russia also is a physical team so it's all discipline and the right attitude from day one.

Toso Viti discipline, discipline!
