Hidden paradise

The Hidden Paradise of Fiji is absolutely heaven on Earth. Stunning pristine beaches, lush tropical surrounding, the breathtaking and world renowned resorts and hotels, including its waterfalls and most importantly, the genuine warmth of the friendly locals who open their doors to vulagi for a hearty meal and bowl of that sosoko mix.

Oh Savusavu you beauty, I will definitely miss you after I head back to the reality of the boring concrete jungles in the burning West.

It is difficult to part ways with you but I will definitely be back. Moce!

Rural coverage

Have any of Fiji's media reported on the plight of those children crossing the 30m wide river at Nasava Village, or been to the remote Naitasiri areas other than The Fiji Times? Thank you The Fiji Times.

Edinburgh Drive

Previously there were two lanes on Edinburgh Drive for motorists driving from the Samabula end towards Suva City.

Presently, we have only one lane and I believe this is causing the traffic jams in the mornings and afternoons. What an achievement! Thanks to Fiji Roads Authority.

Classes in sheds

I lament the delay in the reconstruction of Navakawau Catholic Primary School in Taveuni resulting in 144 students studying in village constructed classrooms (FT 22/1).

The villagers must be thanked for constructing the makeshift shed. The school was destroyed by TCW more than two years ago and reconstruction is still going on.

I hope this is not tip of the iceberg for the rest of Fiji. Government is for the people, period.

Sevens champions

Congratulation to Police and the management team for winning and setting the standard at the Mana Whey Coral Coast Sevens 2018.

It was a blackout for First Light Taveuni in the final!

Cheers!
