Too good Labasa

Last Saturday, the Babasiga Lions roared the loudest at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

They came to the city with a mission and didn't leave empty-handed.

Even the home turf and vocal crowd advantage couldn't help the city boys in blue to stop the Lions from taming them.

In the end, Master Bal Sanju proved that he was a no-nonsense coach as his nine-man Labasa side dethroned Lautoka on their home turf and took the 2018 CVC crown.

No doubt it was a battle between two equally-matched and well-coached soccer sides in the country.

Now Lautoka coach Master Kamal Swamy can look at the mistakes his side made and work towards improving and move.

Yes, I think this is Labasa's third CVC victory and what a grand start they made this season.

Credit goes to the entire team management, helpers and the players for making it possible.

It is time to celebrate the well-deserved victory.

I wholeheartedly congratulate the Labasa people for the hard fought and earned achievement.
