One read with interest the article entitled High kava price, (FT 13/01/18) as it makes mention of uncertainty over the implications of lifting of a ban by the European Union when taking into account the current high price locally.
Aside from this, there was another catchy comment which noted the inability of suppliers to meet local consumption demands for kava.
Does this mean that our kava industry is not sustainable?
If our local suppliers cannot meet the current demand, does that mean that we are consuming kava faster and in larger quantities than our suppliers are able to provide?
Whatever one's views is, this is worth food for thought.
In the meantime, I look forward to dissecting this topic further over a baby mix with Hensel and Spencer in Samabula.Home | Top
