E-ticketing issue

Yes Edward Kumar (FT 09/01) as I experienced somewhat similar to this yesterday, same day when your letter was published, I can say it's very frustrating and upsetting to go through this unnecessary hassle.

I could not find my e-ticketing card yesterday and since I was away from town, I knew I could not have another card the same day. As a result, I had to miss the bus and take an alternative mode of transport. I was lucky to get in a private vehicle.

That hassle I went through because I knew I wouldn't be able to get the temporary/disposable cards in the bus which is the usual case.

I am sure there are many who go through the same situation and it makes us feel helpless at times. We are humans and we tend to forget at times. It's a matter of reaching our destinations on time.

This is a very serious matter that the authorities have to think about. We should have the temporary/disposable e-ticketing cards available in all the buses for emergency use if not then there should be implementation of both the cards and cash to be utilised.

I hope the authorities seriously take this into consideration. We are the people who will be voting again and we are the people our government is supposed to be helping out.
