2018 academic beginning

Thousands of our industrious and dedicated teachers will line school corridors in an unusual beginning that sees them take part in three days of training aimed at developing skills, attitudes and abilities.

This is historic in nature as teachers would have started school next week on Monday but the overseas concept of three days of training has been inculcated in our teaching system.

The holidays have been cut short by three days but I know our teachers are up for the academic journey of teaching and learning and the many challenges that lie ahead.

Go majestic gurus and qasenivuli and all the best for these three days of capacity building.

I hope that you all will be motivated by the words of Vern McLellan "What the New Year brings to you will depend a great deal on what you bring to the New Year".

Thank you so much teachers for your service to Fiji and as you stand up to critics please deliver to the best of your abilities!
