Water cut

WITH the impending water cut for the West a conversation went like this: "We all talked about how each one of our grog mates would store water.

"We have a 44-gallon drum that we will fill. We have several 30 litre drums and many soft drink bottles to fill.

"We have a water dispenser that we will use and we will have enough water to last the four-day cut.

"And we have a huge water tank then at the corner of Kava Place that we will use if we do run out."

Then there was a huge deafening silence as Wise considered his options.

He would just keep water for cooking and drinking and for his grog.

When I asked about bath water he said he could go without bathing for four days.

This I will have to see.
