AS announced by the Fiji FA recently, at least the Battle of the Giants will held in the West.

While Lautoka's Churchill Park, which is one of the best parks in the country, will host the BOG, the ANZ Stadium in the Capital City and Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori will host the IDC and Fiji FACT, respectively.

The early announcement gives all ample time ahead of planning.

I am sure Fiji FA took various factors such as condition of the park and host team's standing etc., to name a few, before deciding on the venues.

I think it is fair to choose venues that won't let you down in all respects.

Because a lot of expense is incurred organising and running a tournament, I believe the Fiji FA is always mindful of the crowd the designated venue attracts.

Without a decent-sized crowd, I believe a tournament such as this one is unsuccessful.

We hope other districts upgrade their parks so that they are also in contention to host such big tournaments which accelerate the economy of your town.

Having said that, I can't remember when was the last time Nadi hosted a major tournament.

Let's hope for the best.
