New soccer season

Suresh Chand, Nadi | Monday, January 8, 2018
The first CVC match in Labasa last Saturday ended in a draw. Neither side scored any goals in the match so they both still have equal chances of becoming the winner. The second leg will be hosted by the reigning champ at home.

The Vodafone National League also starts while CVC continues this week.

I wrongly mentioned Lambert Sarju as coach for Lautoka and I want to apologise for the mistake. Kamal Swamy is the coach for the boys in blue.

It will be the first sporting activity of this year when Ba meets Nadi in the Vodafone Premier League fixture this Sunday week at Prince Charles Park.

Except Lautoka and Labasa, I think all other districts playing in the super premier will take part when the season kicks off.

Like me, many fans await the resumption of the soccer season. More the fans, more the fun and excitement. I wish all teams participating all the best, May the 2018 football season be of another level.
