Christmas meals

It's after Christmas and all the food that was cooked for that day is now finished.

We preserved them well so that we didn't have to cook for four days.

Well for me that is.

But you know what?

When there is cooked food in the freezer, especially lovo chicken, roasted beef and palusami, the microwave oven is your friend.

Fast and no sweat.

Then there is salad and pie and cake, oh boy, I am like a yoyo, it's to the fridge, microwave oven and the table.

But enough of that.

I was at my favourite shop when the shopkeeper, who was staring at my stomach said with a wry smile, "Hey boss how was your Christmas?"

Oh, he couldn't fool me, I knew he had a wicked thought.

My reply was simple.

I put my hand on my stomach, made circular rubs and said, "You noticed, how observant."

Folks take care and don't overeat. Remember NCDs don't stand for "Nice Chow Daddy."

Anyway, my new year's resolution is to turn this keg into a six pack.

I wish you all a healthy new year.
