Sigh of relief

Remember my letter about innocent faces, well yesterday I was in the sitting room and all was quiet.

Then I heard a voice saying, "Aunty, aunty, aunty."

My mind raced, isa it's my house's turn now.

But it was a man's voice and I suddenly thought that we were a target because I may have foiled the attempt on my neighbour's house.

First of all I peep from behind the curtains.

Then I see a chap in a reflective safety jacket with WAF printed on it.

I heaved a huge sigh of relief. It was a Water Authority of Fiji employee.

I went outside and he gave me a disconnection notice for non-payment of bill.

But the chap said, "We now give a warning and if you don't pay, we will come and disconnect."

I thanked him and went and paid.

Thank goodness it wasn't a thief.

Kaila!

Thank you Water Authority of Fiji.
