FIJI FA must be commended for taking the bold decision to suspend players who failed drug tests. However, my issue is whether justice has been done to the opposing teams against whom these players have featured for their districts. Certainly the players under the influence of drugs would place the other team at a disadvantage. If we are talking about setting a level playing field then I believe the rules of the game should make it mandatory for points to be awarded to the opponents in such cases.
I believe the LTA has done a tremendous job throughout 2017. I hope they continue to do so with 10 more days left. Please maintain safety first on our roads. Ticket all illegal drivers. Ticket all overloading vehicles. People come to town in truck or van loads, some of them half hanging out. But the beauty about this festive season compared with the past years is that the LTA or the highway patrol are nowhere to be seen on the road. Why? Don't have to be a genius to figure that out.

I would be very grateful if someone from Government can tell us the criteria for selection of people to the various boards. I hope it is not based on political connections.
What happened to the community policing program? Before we used to see policemen and women walking up and down the streets, now they are nowhere to be found. Has the season for community policing ended?

It's being heard that some folks say to others that they should get a job. Let's just break that down a bit. If one manages to get or already has a basic job, after paying rent, utilities and other relevant payments, how much does one really have left for savings, let alone for survival? Hope is truly rugged from the constant gripping of the masses.
One of my Facebook mates quipped that now we have a Minister for Waterways, it's raining in the right places. But he added, "Will he be also responsible for flooding?" Mmmm ... good question.Home | Top
