Road woes

At last the road 'repairs' to the Princes Rd between Ragg Ave and Tamavua Village are completed and once more the traffic can flow freely instead of the long queues which at times stretched from Tamavua Village back to Cunningham Rd.

But what was the purpose of the works?

The two metre wide strip of new seal along the kerb side has done nothing to improve the road surface on which the vehicles actually drive.

It is still uneven and bumpy while the new seal is already riddled with potholes.

What quality of workmanship and materials are we paying for and what quality controls does the contractor have in place?

It makes one wonder if these ineffective repairs are worth all the traffic disruption and cost to the environment and business that they created.
