This is in response to Phillip Isaac's letter to the Editor dated December 7, 2017.
Fiji Roads Authority acknowledges your concern. The rails were constructed after the closure of the old Rewa Bridge to improve and accommodate schoolchildren who cross the bridge daily on their way to school.
The four schools in the area are located on the upstream of the bridge so logical thinking is that the school children will use the shortest route across, through the upstream end of bridge that now has railings.
We are currently reviewing the pedestrian use of Rewa Bridge and will determine the need for handrails on the downstream side in the new year.
Also, we have logged your streetlight concern. You can call our toll free number 5720 and one of our customer service representative will provide you with an update.Home | Top
