Traditional drink

TO Dan Urai who quoted "I believe forgotten is the fact that grog drinking has also brought peace and forgiveness", in opposing the fact that a certain a Christian sect leader preached drinking of the traditional drink (grog) to linking with the devil (FT. 09/12)

Dan, according to the Oxford dictionary, grog refers to any strong drink like beer, rum, alcoholic beverages or any drink with spirit. I don't see how drinking this has brought about peace when so many crimes in Fiji have been linked to drunkenness, family breakdowns, juveniles delinquency etc.

If you meant kava or yaqona which you say is a traditional drink, disproved by history, then please refer to statement above. There is no other drink which has caused so much trouble to family breakdown and no other drink which has damaged skin and face looking like "demons".

According to the Bible preached by this person you referring to, please do read Isaiah 28:1-8, Isaiah 5:20-23, Proverbs 20:1, Proverbs 31:4-7, Proverbs 21:17, Proverbs 23:19-24.
