THE latest trend in Hollywood is that female stars are coming out and confronting their fears on bullying and sexual harassment in the workplace.

Our women should take comfort in the fact that if these women can stand up against this evil then so can we, especially in this day and age of cyber technology.

We need to advise our children about respect and how we should respect our bodies and not use it or get into the situation of being used for financial gain.

It's time to stand up and fight this scourge.

Every day we read and hear about rape cases being tried in our courts.

Now I imagine there are more cases which are not being reported and the victims should take a leaf from these stars' books and come out.

We, as a nation, must talk about this in our kava sessions or even our talanoa sessions.

We must all be aware and concerned.

Let's not sweep it under the carpet.
