World Obesity Day

WITH World Obesity Day passing unnoticed in Fiji, the BBC found it worth reporting:

"Child and teenage obesity levels have risen tenfold in the past four decades, meaning 124 million boys and girls around the globe are too fat, according to new research.

"Obese children are likely to become obese adults, putting them at risk of serious health problems."

In Fiji too, we can observe the rise in obesity and this will be a big problem in the treatment of illnesses caused by obesity.

We should watch what we give our children to eat and don't fall for all those shiny glittering packages of junk food and fatty meat products.
