Ancestry flow

Your article by Siteri Sauvakacolo (FT 10/9) is a good remembrance of how ancestry flows.

I recall vividly the tales of my late maternal grandmother Rokosenivaivai that the Naivi-ira clan consists of the Koroisalusalu household to which the late Ratu Bogidrau and the late Mereani belongs, Naqorokoto (Roko Jio and Sogotubu), Cakaudrove-i-wai where the late Roko Tui Lau Jekesoni Camaiyavala hails from, and Qaraniqio the home of Dausiga her father.

I remember my mother addressing Mereani as Na Mereani. It's true the old saying ke'o vosacataki keitou, o vosacataki kemudou tikoga (if you swear at us, you are swearing at yourself).

So true, relationship has widened indeed.
