Scouting in Fiji was founded in 1914 and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1971.

Scouts are involved in numerous community service projects.

These include conservation of nature, disaster relief and various other forms of work in the community.

Activities are an integral part of scouting and makes it so exciting for the young people involved.

As a scout one learns survival skills, first aid and knotting.

It is a great way to have fun, make friends, get outdoors, express your creativity and experience the wider world

Similarly, the Lautoka Scouters Council held the annual district rally at Lomolomo Public School with more than 700 scouts from 27 primary schools from Lautoka District.

The surprise visit by Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and honourable Faiyaz Koya to the camp brought joy and smiles to all scouts and leaders. It was a memorable occasion for all present.

To the ministers, bravo, bravo, bravo.
