WHY do high teenage pregnancy figures shock us?
As leaders, parents, teachers, faith leaders and guardians, it looks like we're part of the reason for this alarming statistics of 1456 teenage pregnancies recorded last year, with 48 of those pregnant under the age of 15 years.
How much time do we spend with our children? Perhaps if we spent less time watching TV and surfing the internet, and go back to quality family conversations, this could be a good start.
What morals and values do we instill in our youths to cultivate self-motivated, stable, resilient, respectful and caring individuals unperturbed by media falseness and peer pressure?
If there's one challenge we have in today's world, it's to train our youths that it's all right to be different and unwavering, and they should not conform and please outside peers to be accepted.Home | Top
