Pacific Games

The prime minister of Samoa is leading the bid for the 2019 Pacific Games to be held in Apia after the withdrawal of our friendly island neighbour the kingdom of Tonga ( FT 23/5 ).

If there is no other Pacific Island countries willing to host, Samoa will certainly be given the go ahead to stage this four-year event.

During the 2007 Pacific Games in Apia, the honourable prime minister was also a member of the Samoan archery national team. He stayed, ate, and slept with his team members at the games village.

I sincerely believe that Mr Tuila'epa has got something left over under his sleeve to showcase his other raw talent apart from archery (may be bowling this time ) come 2019.

Only time will tell. Fa'fetai Samoa if you are going to host the 2019 Pacific Games. See you here in Suva, Fiji in 2023.
