Government SUVs

IT HAS been noted that on a daily basis we hear from parliamentarians that past governments did this and that. Among the notable difference is that past governments used 4x2 sedan cars for their business duties while the current officials do the opposite. SUVs and light truck requires more at the pump, R and M, insurance and taxes. Could this be because of the road problem in this country or irresponsible spending?

Diet and

exercise

SHAMAL Chand's healthy diet plan, reducing his weight from 85kg to 55kg (FT 24/5/17), is an eye opener to many of us who continue gaining weight for reasons best known to ourselves. It will be interesting to hear from Shamal of his detailed healthy lifestyle diet plan that is so effective, and I believe more affordable. Diet and exercise are the way forward to a healthy lifestyle.

Allen's

stories

I ALWAYS enjoy Allen's company because of his stories. Lately I've been wondering if there's any truth to it. I better ask him next time we meet, hopefully it's in one dark corner.

Amateur

boxing

FIJI Amateur boxing just got $180,000. Could they use just a tenth of this sum and revive amateur boxing in Labasa? Once you do that then the Ministry of Sports can jump in the ring too.

Safety of

passengers

JUST noticed the other day how a lot of minivan drivers just hang their right hand out of the window and steer with the left hand while carrying passengers. Come on guys, the safety of your passengers is paramount and we know you can drive so please keep both hands on the steering wheel at all times!

Animal

Farm

ANIMAL Farm suggests some are more equal than the others and that "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely".

Who are more equal than the others in the book Animal Farm and the proposed Bill 28?
