WHATEVER happened to the so-called $40 million ethanol plant that was supposed to be built by the Asian businessman?
They proposed cassava to be planted in large quantities of land so they can make ethanol.
I am sure with the poor sugarcane price and with the current price of cassava most people would turn to cassava farming.
Maybe the people of Rakiraki can all become cassava farmers since the sugar mill closed down.
I am sure ethanol will bring the much needed revenue for Fiji.
But first, I think, we should look for that businessman who was supposed to build that plant.
