Streetlight repair

MY mid-dawn dream was disrupted by what sounded like a truck rocking up at the roundabout close to home.

My investigative mind got me out of bed and a peek through my lounge window awed me into silence. My half-opened drowsy eyes saw in the distance a truck filled with men in reflector jackets which looked like sub-contractors attending to the streetlight at the roundabout.

A streetlight that was out of order for a few moons.

A quick glance at the wall clock revealed it was 4.30am. I mellowed at the fact that most of us at that time were being tucked away in our warm beds while these brothers were sacrificing their sleep to make ends meet.

Then it slowly dawned on me about a complaint I lodged with Fiji Roads Authority at the start of the week was being attended to.

Awesome, yawa sara ga.

Hats off and vina du riki to Teresia and the crew at Fiji Roads Authority.

Your team has just emitted a new radiant light towards customer satisfaction and delivery at its best.
