$5b debt

Fiji's debt level of $5 billion is reasonable according to a World Bank rep (FT/17/5/15). For a country of less than a million in population, with many of the population living in poverty and some still living in tents, I'm confused.

Rent cost

With the high cost of rent in many parts of Fiji, one of my friends said he was going to buy a tent and live in it.

I told him to wait for a cyclone, he could get one free.

Election surprise

IS it elections already next year? Why don't I see politicians blowing their own trumpets on social media just yet? Really surprising!

Hibiscus highway

I think the Savusavu Hibiscus highway is tarsealed for about 40 kilometres. Travelling on the tarsealed 40km is just superb and I would like to thank the Government for making this a real highway. I hope some money can be allocated in the next budget to completely tarseal this road up to Napuka and also to tarseal and widen the road from Bagasau to Waikava. Anyway, this is the starting of the dry season and the right time for road making.

Win something

I noticed teams out of the Cup final usually play really hard in the lower challenge.

Out of the main final, but they still would like to save face and at least win something.

But I could be wrong.

No big deal

Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose, no big deal, it's all part of the game. The better team wins and we sure were not up to par in Paris, so fingers crossed and all, let's hope for a better outing in London. Nothing should get us down when the spirit is there, Phil.4.13. Go get them Fiji. Too slippery in Paris, get a better grip on things in London and we can still be in second place. Whatever lads, our prayers are for you in every game. Toso Viti. God bless Fiji.

Freebees

THE offer of freebees reminds me of an Aboriginal poem depicting a young man wooing a lady. After all his promises of getting her the moon and the stars she merely replied, "get me tree grubs".
