Freedom of speech

I fully agree with Daniel Urai on the above topic in the other day's newspaper (FT 17/4/17) wherein he discussed the limits on freedom of speech. Very true indeed! I believe this country had a history of people being discriminated against by fellow citizens or the State specifically where one is denied equal opportunity in education, jobs, but clearly is now protected by constitutional guarantees on paper.
We can't be perfect I suppose. Thomas Jefferson, a well-known US President, spoke strongly on this 'here we are not afraid to follow the truth wherever it may lead, nor to tolerate any error so long as reason is left there to combat it. Our freedom depends on the freedom of the press and that cannot be limited without being lost', I hope we shall keep it that way.
